2’s Day started with a promise to make time for joy.

A few years ago, we realized our busy lives made it hard to guarantee bestie time each week. Tuesdays always felt like the longest days at work, so we made them sacred. Every Tuesday became time for just us, giving us something to look forward to in an otherwise stressful day. We’ve spent nearly every Tuesday together since.

We began referring to our time on Tuesday as 2-of-us-day, and that turned into 2’s Day.

At first, 2’s Day was just for fun. We were thrifting at the Goodwill bins every weekend and picking up pieces we knew our friends had to have. We realized we couldn’t keep spending our own money (as much as we adore our people) and figured we’d try selling things to help sustain the fun. So we turned our tiny garage into a tiny business with collections of secondhand clothes we would vend at vintage markets and through an online shop filled with finds we loved.

It was exciting, until it wasn’t working for us anymore. 12-hour market days multiple times a month weren’t working for busy teachers also in graduate school. So, we realized operating a whole resale brand in our garage wasn’t sustainable. The momentum we had with slay finds slowed down. We threw a big Earth Day sale, cleared things out, and made space for what felt like the next version of 2’s Day.

Now, 2’s Day is our way of showing up for joy in real life. We lead creative workshops that feel more like play than professional development. We build spaces that invite people to pause, look up, and connect.

Outside of the workplace, we host events where strangers become friends. From Padres games and bingo nights to sidewalk chalk and conversation prompts that spark something real, everything we do is low-stakes, welcoming, and built with care.

We are a queer, neurodiverse, and BIPOC team building experiences with care, curiosity, and lived experience. 2’s day believes that joy is a powerful tool for transformation, and we’re here to share it wherever it is needed. When joy is shared in community, it has the power to transform the way we live, work, and connect so we are out here doing it… one 2’s Day at a time. ;)
